Dear Diary,
Still clenching my old friends glasses jack walked blindly onto the boat as the rest of the hunters followed. I followed after them onto the boat but I was not one of them. I stepped onto the boat facing Jack and the hunters. Samneric walked over to my side of the boat and sat by me. The adult men let us wash off and gave us some haircuts. I looked in the mirror and saw myself for the first time in months. Darker hair and skin I had with cuts and scrapes all about my body. I noticed jack wouldn’t look in the mirror along with some others and I said afraid of what you become. I made sure to speak up any chance I had like my old friend said. Jack said nothing, nothing ever since we got onto the boat and nothing now. I made sure to watch my surroundings.

The officers continued to asked what had happened on the island and I told them everything. The rest of the boys were isolated and I was left alone once again. I enjoyed the silence on the boat and looking at myself in the mirror. I don’t know what happened to jack and the others on the boat. In the middle of the night I went to look for jack. I stuff some cloth in his mouth so he wouldn’t scream. I took a blade and scraped a sign that I had saw. The sign that forced us retreat from our school because he was one of them. I scraped the sign on his arm so I will know he was punished.
I went back to my bunk and slept. Jack had said nothing of what had happened that night.

The officers called us on the deck and told us the problems were going to face. We weren't safe. I was still in war and the problems I faced on the island weren't over they were just beginning. I thought were savages, but the things that happened on that boat was evil nothing else.
we waited for days, weeks, and months till we finally reached our promised land home.

when the war was over many of the hunters did come back to school some died on the boat from sickness and some were put into special schools.
